2,000ft up a high quality trail at Alyeska Ski Area in Girdwood. Beautiful views. Enjoy a beer at the top with option to take the tram down. Save the knees!
Quality popular uphill trail. 3,000 ft up. Beautiful views along Turnagain Arm. 25 minute drive from Anchorage.
Access the Chugach mtns just behind town. Great starting point for a 10 minute walk or a full day in the hills.

Our current favorite hike in Anchorage. Make it a loop along the Arctic Valley ridge. Starts and ends right at the wedding venue at Arctic Valley.
1 hr drive north of town. Explore old Alaskan Mines perched in a beautiful mountain valley. Option of paved meandering trails as well as adventurous hiking.
Beautiful flat and smooth trails in the Chugach mountains for easy walking. A great place to spot animals and wildlife. Amongst the mountains.
Interesting nature exhibits at the Visitor Center.
Beautiful museum downtown with Alaskan art, history, science and culture.
Plenty of hands-on exhibits for kids at the Discovery Center!
Drive 45 minutes south of Anchorage. See wild Alaskan animals in spacious habitats. These are orphaned or injured animals that were rescued. Moose, bison, musk ox, wolves, and bears!
